‘Barbara, our tour guide, was professional, very knowledgeable and most humorous – a delight!’
Barb Sexton

'Barbara was thoroughly knowledgeable, both about Scottish history but also every aspect of Scottish life, charming tidbits about people and places we visited. She helped bring the place to life in a thoroughly engaging way. What really made Barbara special, though, was her warm and engaging personality. She was funny when it was appropriate, serious and informative when she needed to be, thoughtful and compassionate at every turn - in short, a true delight.'

Beyond the Fairway...

Scotland has a rich and deserved reputation for being one of the foremost places in the world in which to enjoy the game of golf. Indeed, it is recognised as being the home of golf, and offers golfers a wealth of top-class courses.

But Scotland is more than golf - and I want to prove it to you. Let me show you another Scotland - a Scotland of amazing scenery: majestic mountains, serene lochs, wild forests and meandering rivers. Let me introduce you to our vibrant cities or our hidden coastal gems. Let me lead you through our heroic history: the stories of 'Braveheart' William Wallace and King Robert the Bruce, of Mary, Queen of Scots, Rob Roy MacGregor and the many other celebrated - and less-celebrated - figures who have populated Scotland through the centuries. Walk in the footsteps of the ‘ploughman poet’ on a special day tour created to celebrate the 250 th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns. Let me help you relax with a 'wee dram' in one of our distinguished distilleries. Let me reveal a Scotland you may never have imagined...on a More Than Golf tour. I promise you won't be disappointed.

More Than Golf tours are exclusive: you won't be sharing the day with anyone you don't know. I will collect you from your holiday accommodation - and deliver you back - in my comfortable, air-conditioned, fully insured seven-seat (accommodates up to six passengers) People Carrier (VW Sharan).

We will make refreshment/comfort stops en route to our destination and chilled water will be provided. Additional refreshments, lunches and any admission charges are not included in the cost of the tour. Whether one person, a couple, or a group of family or friends up to six people book a tour, the cost is the same:

Half day tour
(up to four hours): 250

Full day tour
(up to eight hours): 340

Long day tour
(over eight hours): 340 plus 50 per hour for each hour over the eight hours.

The more people you bring with you, the cheaper the cost-per-head works out.

Tours must be paid for in Sterling - I'm sorry but I am unable to accept credit cards or other currencies.

I have a flexible approach to start and finish times - this is your tour and will be organised to meet your individual needs (and the opening times of attractions, of course!) We will also make the most of photographic opportunities to ensure that your time in Scotland is truly memorable.

A More Than Golf tour is the ideal choice for non-golfers who want to escape while their other half works on their handicap. But golfers too will discover there is so much to enjoy beyond the fairway.
