Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some common questions and answers about More Than Golf Tours. If you don’t find the answer to your question here then please contact Barbara who will be happy to answer any queries you may have.

Q: Do I have to join people I don’t know on a tour if I come alone?
A: No, the tour is exclusively for you and any partners, friends or guests that you may wish to bring along.

Q: Do I have to pay a supplement for a tour if I am the only person?
A: No, the tour costs the same whether there is one person or six people on it – it is a flat fee and therefore could be divided between the number of people on the tour.

Q: We want to come on a tour as a group, can we each pay individually?
A: Only a deposit is required at the time of booking, and the full price is payable at the time of the tour, so if you wish to divide the cost between the group then it would not be a problem.

Q: Can I smoke in the vehicle?
A: No, smoking is illegal in workplaces in Scotland , therefore there is a no smoking policy in the tour vehicle.

Q: Are children welcome on the tours?
A: Yes, the vehicle is provided with child safety seats and many visitor attractions offer special discounts for children (and for seniors).

Q: Are pets welcome on the tours?
A: The tours are unsuitable for pets as they would spend long hours in the car on their own.

Q: Will I have to pay for lunch?
A: Yes, you will have to pay for lunch and any refreshments (apart from chilled water) that you have whilst on the tour.

Q: Can I bring food or alcohol along on the tour?
A: No alcohol may be carried or consumed in the vehicle. There will be ample stops for refreshment on all tours.

Q: Can I leave my luggage/belongings in the vehicle?
A: Luggage and personal items are left at your own risk, and you are strongly advised to have your own insurance to cover these items while on holiday.

Q: Can I cancel my tour after I have confirmed my booking?
A: Once your booking is confirmed, unfortunately we are unable to offer any refund and the tour cost must be paid in full. We strongly advise that you take out travel insurance that will cover any circumstances that may lead to you being unable to attend the tour you have booked.

Q: I am not staying in Fife ; will you be able to pick me up/drop me off in another part of Scotland ?
A: You can be collected from and delivered back to accommodation in any part of Fife . If you wish to be picked up/dropped off outside Fife it is possible but this will incur extra charges, to be advised on booking.

Q: Will we need warm clothing/special equipment to come on one of your tours?
A: Scotland tends to be fairly mild most of the year, although it can be very cold in the winter – we would advise you to bring along a warm jumper and rainproof jacket at most times of the year, as the weather can change within a short space of time. You won’t need any special equipment for any of the tours, but please wear comfortable footwear and let us know if you have any mobility issues.
