Your Travel Guide English by birth and originally from the West Midlands, Barbara moved to Scotland in 1997 with her husband Alan, a native Scot from Glasgow. After a long and successful career in journalism, and inspired by her new home, Barbara decided to follow a long held dream of becoming involved in tourism. Since qualifying as a guide, Barbara has had the pleasure of touring the country with clients from the United States, England, Ireland, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Holland, South America, Japan and China. In 2006, recently having moved from Glasgow to the East Neuk (corner) of Fife, Barbara set up More Than Golf Tours - with the advantage of being located next to a plethora of top courses. More Than Golf Tours offer a range of days out (full-day*, half-day*, special and enhanced*) but Barbara is always happy to plan something different to meet clients' needs - ideal for 'golf widows' and 'widowers' (and golfers!) who want to explore more of Scotland within a day. They are members of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association and are fully insured for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity. They are all self-employed, adhere to a Code of Conduct and Standards of Performance and regularly update their skills. |
